Accessibility
A statement of effort, not a claim of conformance.
We build to WCAG 2.2 AA as a working target and measure as we go. We do not claim conformance, because a claim we have not independently audited would be worth less than the work itself.
What we do
- Every foreground and background pair on this site is measured, not eyeballed. Body text clears 4.5:1 and interface boundaries clear 3:1.
- Hover states move the ground away from the text, so contrast rises on interaction rather than falling.
- Every focusable element has a visible focus ring, scoped per surface so it stays visible on both light and dark grounds.
- Interactive targets clear 44px below tablet-landscape width.
- Motion is limited to two effects and both are disabled under prefers-reduced-motion.
- The page uses real landmarks and headings, and there is a skip link to the main content.
- Both languages are served as written documents with the document language set correctly, so a screen reader pronounces each one properly.
What we have not done
We have not commissioned an independent accessibility audit of this site, and we have not tested it with every assistive technology in use. Until we have, a conformance claim would be a claim we cannot support, so we are not making one.
If something is in your way
Write to accessibility@arumaldo.com and tell us what you were trying to do and what stopped you. We will fix it, or tell you plainly why we cannot and what the alternative is.
